OBOY DA COMIC by real name Ferdinal Forka is a native from Nso. He was born on December 12, 1987 in Ekombite, South Region of Cameroon into the family of Mr&Mrs Forka William. He is second in a family of 7 children. He grew up in the Center Region, precisely Yaounde. Ferdinal Forka studied Geography in the University of Yaounde 1. He is a Senior Youth and Action Counselor and holder of a masters in Sociocultural tourism and Associations, graduate of the National Institute of Youth and Sports.
He also a holder of a Bachelor Degree in Recreational Sciences. OBOY DA COMIC is a versatile Comedian but identifies himself more as a Standup Comedian. He is MC, event organizer by profession, show promoter and founder of one of Cameroon’s Biggest Stand-up Comedy platforms, OBOY COMEDY SHOW. OBOY COMEDY SHOW was first organized on December 12, 2014 and this year will be at its 14th edition.
In 2007,he obtain GCE advance level certificate in GBHS,Jakiri.In 2014 he obtain bachelor degree in recreational sciences NIYS,Yaounde.In 2016 He Obtain a master degree in animation of social tourism and association.
With the ”Oboy Comedy Shows” which kickstart since december 2014,it has helped to give platforms and exposure to many upcoming comedians back then who are big names today.he has also shared platforms with international big names in the comedy industry in africa like Klin The Drunk,Akpororo etc.
In terms of achievements and awards,he was awarded comedian of the year from bui division at the BUMAFY awards 2016.also the best comedy skit of the year 2017 at the Red Feather awards. he was ranked among 50 MOST INFLUENCIAL YOUNG CAMEROONIAN under the entertainment category for the year 2017.
